Cube Green Energy takes the protection of personal data seriously. This Privacy Notice explains what personal data we collect when you visit our website, why we process it, and how we protect it. It is intended to comply with the EU GDPR and applicable German and EU laws. We process your data only for legitimate purposes and in accordance with Article 6 of the GDPR.

What Data We Collect

We collect the following categories of data when you use our website:

- Technical Data: Internet protocol (IP) address, device identifiers, browser type, operating system, and similar information transmitted by your browser.
- Usage Data: Pages visited, referral URL, timestamps and clickstream data via Google Analytics, a web analytics service of Google LLC (USA) as well as analytics functionalities provided by our website hosting platform, Wix.com

How We Use Your Data & Legal Bases

We use your data for the following purposes:


- Responding to Inquiries: We use contact form data to answer your questions or requests. Legal basis: your consent by submitting the form (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), and our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)) in providing customer support.
- Website Analytics: We analyze website usage to improve and enhance user browsing experience. This uses Google Analytics and by our website hosting platform, Wix.com Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR under TTDSG). We only collect anonymised statistics (IP anonymised, data aggregated).
- Website Functionality: Technical cookies and data (session management, load balancing) ensure the site works correctly. Legal basis: necessary for our legitimate interests in providing the online service (Art. 6(1)(f)).
- Marketing (none currently used): If we were to use cookies for marketing, we would rely on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)).

We use necessary cookies to operate the site (e.g., login sessions, security). These are enabled by default and do not require consent (they are exempt under TTDSG §25). All other cookies (functional, analytics, marketing) are disabled by default. You will be asked to consent via our banner before these are activated.

- Analytics Cookies:
Analytics cookies are used to collect information about how visitors interact with our website, such as visit counts, page views, and user behaviour, in order to analyse traffic and improve site performance. We use Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC (USA), as well as analytics functionalities provided by our website hosting platform, Wix.com Ltd. These services may process personal data, including IP addresses and usage data, which are processed in pseudonymised form (including IP anonymisation where applicable). Data may be transferred to countries outside the European Economic Area, including the United States. For further information, please refer to the respective privacy policies of Google and Wix.
Analytics cookies are only set with your prior consent in accordance with Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and §25 TTDSG. We retain analytics data for a limited period in line with our configuration and the respective provider settings (e.g., up to 14 months for Google Analytics). Where analytics functionalities are provided by Wix, data retention is subject to the platform’s configuration and policies and is limited to what is necessary for the respective purpose.
You can withdraw or manage your consent at any time via the cookie banner or the “Settings” option.

- Functional Cookies: Enable enhanced features (e.g., language preferences), collect data to remember choices users make to improve and give a more personalized experience. Purpose: improve user experience. Activated only if you opt in via Settings.

-Marketing Cookies: (None are set on our site.) If used, they would track visits across sites to show relevant ads. Consent required, not in use. 

You can accept or reject each category of non-essential cookies in the banner. You can withdraw consent at any time via the “Cookie Settings” link on our site.

Data Sharing and Transfers

We do not sell personal data. We share data only with: (a) our service providers who process data on our behalf (e.g., website host (Wix), Google Analytics) under confidentiality agreements, and (b) authorities if legally compelled. Some providers (e.g., Google, Wix) may transfer data outside the EU; we have EU standard contractual clauses or use services with approved data transfer mechanisms.

Data Retention

We keep your personal data only as long as necessary for each purpose:

- Contact form submissions: up to 12 months after last contact unless you request deletion earlier.
- Website analytics data: aggregated data (no personal identifiers) stored for up to 14 months (Google Analytics). Where analytics functionalities are provided by our website hosting platform (Wix.com Ltd.), data retention is subject to the platform’s configuration and policies and is limited to what is necessary for the respective purpose.
- Technical logs: kept up to 30 days for security/maintenance, then purged. Session cookies expire at session end.


After these periods, personal data are deleted or fully anonymised, in line with GDPR Art.5(1)(e)

Your Rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to request:
- Access – confirmation and a copy of your personal data.
- Rectification – correction of inaccurate data.
- Erasure (Right to be Forgotten) – deletion of your data (where no overriding reason to keep it).
- Restriction – limit how we use your data.
- Data Portability – transfer of your data to yourself or another controller.
- Objection – oppose our processing (for direct marketing or legitimate interests).
- Withdraw Consent – if processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time (without affecting prior processing).


You have the rights to access your personal data, correct errors, erase data, restrict processing, and data portability (Art.15–20 GDPR) as explained above. If processing is based on consent, you may withdraw consent any time (Art.7(3) GDPR) without affecting prior lawfulness.
