As part of our repowering efforts, Cube Green Energy has signed a turbine supply contract for one of its flagship projects in Lower Saxony—marking its first such contract to be entered with Nordex. This represents a key step in our repowering strategy, increasing the project’s total capacity from 6.5 MW to 25.8 MW.

The existing wind farm currently consists of five AN Bonus turbines, each with a capacity of 1.3 MW, resulting in a total installed capacity of 6.5 MW. As part of the repowering process, these legacy turbines will be replaced with modern highly efficient Nordex turbine technology, enabling an approximate fourfold increase in energy output while significantly improving the overall efficiency and utilisation of the site.

The project reflects our focus on unlocking additional clean energy capacity from existing infrastructure. By repowering established wind sites, we can maximise energy yield from the same land footprint—enabling increased green energy generation while preserving local farming and supporting the role of onshore wind in local and regional power resilience.

Commenting on this significant milestone, Raghuveer Kurada, CEO of Cube Green Energy, said:

“This project demonstrates our mission in action, increasing clean electricity generation through deployment of cutting-edge, more efficient technology on the same land footprint. We are delighted to be partnering with Nordex on this flagship project.” — Raghuveer Kurada, CEO

The partnership with Nordex reflects our approach to working with leading OEMs and scaling renewable energy generation through smarter, efficient repowering solutions. Repowering projects play a critical role in Germany’s energy resilience, extending the productive life of wind sites while delivering significantly higher clean energy output from the same land area.
