Moritz von Plate is a seasoned executive and entrepreneur with more than 25 years of international experience across the renewable energy, infrastructure, and broader industrial sectors. As Chief Executive Officer of Cube Green Energy, Moritz is responsible for leading the company’s next phase of growth and strengthening its position as a leading renewable energy platform in Continental Europe.
Prior to joining Cube Green Energy, Moritz served as a member of the Executive Committee and Head of Strategy and Corporate Sales at VSB Group, a leading German renewable energy project developer.
During his tenure, he played a key role in driving strategic growth initiatives and successfully supporting the company through ownership changes. Earlier in his career, Moritz held senior executive positions across the energy, infrastructure and technology sectors, with extensive international experience spanning Germany, Poland, and the United States.
Moritz is also a three-time entrepreneur, having co-founded Agrosolar, Solarlite, and Cassantec. His background combines strategic leadership, M&A expertise, project management, and operational transformation, with a strong track record of value creation across complex and fast-growing organisations.
Moritz holds an MBA from Georgetown University and a Master’s degree in Agricultural Engineering from University of Bonn.
