Cube Green Energy Appoints Dr Felix Grolman as Executive Chair

London / Berlin 17 August, 2026 – Cube Green Energy, a leading integrated renewable energy and battery storage platform, today announced the appointment of Dr Felix Grolman as Executive Chair, effective 1 August 2026. This appointment further strengthens Cube Green Energy’s leadership team as the company accelerates the development of its multi-gigawatt renewable generation and storage platform across Europe.
With more than 15 years of leadership experience across renewable energy and energy infrastructure, Dr Grolman brings deep expertise in building, scaling and operating businesses. Most recently, Dr Grolman was CEO of VSB Group, running one of Europe's leading renewable energy developers through a significant period of growth. Under his leadership, VSB expanded its project pipeline to over 21 GW, increased operating and under-construction capacity and further diversified the business into battery storage and e-mobility, culminating in the company's successful acquisition by TotalEnergies.
Felix's appointment follows Moritz von Plate joining Cube Green Energy as CEO in May 2026 and comes at a pivotal time for Europe's energy system, as energy security, resilience and growing electricity demand move to the forefront of the policy agenda. Recent policy initiatives, including the European Commission's Electrification Action Plan and Germany's proposed EEG framework for 2027-2032 (targeting 115 GW of onshore wind by 2030), are expected to accelerate investment in renewable generation, storage and grid infrastructure.
Against this backdrop, Cube Green Energy is well positioned to support Europe's energy policy objectives. The company today operates more than 280 MW of renewable generation assets, while advancing a development pipeline of more than 1.8 GW.
